Ep.22/ Born Again Into My Authentic Self

Let go of shame. Come home to you. Live with authenticity.

LISTEN NOW

This is one of the most real and vulnerable interviews I've had.

My latest podcast episode dives into shame, sexual abuse, and the hero's journey out of an unsafe situation.

Join me and my brave guest, Kelly Sundsvold, as she reveals her story of what it was like to suffer sexual abuse at the hands of someone she trusted in her church.  She lets us in on how she was shamed for what was done to her, and the pregnancy that resulted.  She tells us what it was like as she was forced to put her child up for adoption and the way she ultimately left a toxic religious community in order to reclaim her authentic self.

In this conversation we discuss...

- The importance of finding a safe person to validate your experience in order to fully accept yourself

- How to pinpoint gaslighting so that you can better listen to yourself and what's right for you

- Why psychological safety is the number one thing that allows a person to access their authenticity and build a foundation of self-worth

- How to access the courage to leave a toxic situation that is keeping you stuck and small
